I have a few new projects in the works at the moment, and am very excited to be starting them, and launching some new portrait productst over the coming months.

So I NEED your help! :)  I'm looking for some of your cute, adorable, cheeky, funny children to use for my promo sessions.  The session will be like a normal portrait session with a few little different things.  It may be on location somewhere (within 45mins of Bendigo at the most), or it may be in Bendigo surrounds.  As my thank you to you for allowing me to use your gorgeous kidlets, you will receive a disc of approx 25-30 images, full high resolution in both Colour and Black & White.

There are a few age groups I am looking for imparticular, so please see below for those details.  I will be shooting these sessions over the coming few months, so it may be cooler weather, which means your kids will need to rug up nice and warm!! This means beanies, scarves, hates, gumboots.... Oooohhh... It's exciting!!!

If you're interested in being a part of these sessions, please email a photo of your kids/family, and provide a contact number to: info@rubiidesign.com.au

I will be taking quite a few kids session, and even some family sessions also... So Mum's and Dad's be preapred! :)

I look forward to meeting some of you soon!! :)

When Dave & Adaline got engaged, it was the beginning of a journey, that many people would follow them on, and admire not only their love and committment to one anohter, but to God.  I was one of those people who got to follow them on this journey, and hear all the ideas, details and planning that went into their special day.  And I can tell you, that it was such a joy and pleasure to not only be a part of this day and capture each moment, but to see good friends make such a beautiful committment to each other.  Their day was filled with so much love and emotion, and it was an honour to capture it!

Dave & Adaline - You two inspire so many people, including Carsten and I! You inspire us to love God more, you inspire us to truly show each and every emotion you have for one another.  Thank You for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! Much Love, Carsten and Mel. xo

Alex & Rachel were married this past weekend in Bendigo.  Thankfully all the rain held off, and it was actually a perfect day for their wedding.  Rachel looked absolutely stunning in her dress, along with her beautiful bridesmaids and flowergirl, who travelled all the way from Canada! Enjoy!!

I can't believe sometimes how quickly time goes by, and how quickly tiny little newborn babies become laughing, cheeky, unique little people!! I photographed Isabella as a newborn over 2 years ago, and now she is this bright blue eyed, bubbly, beautiful little person, who just loves to laugh!

Adam & Janelle - Thank You so much for allowing me to capture your beautiful little girl at this stage in her life... You truly are a beautiful family!! Much Love, Mel.

I met these two CUTE little munckins on Monday, and they both have the most beautiful personalities ever!  It makes me love my job that much more, and love doing portrait sessions, and being able to capture the unique character in children.

Saturdays wedding took place on a private property in Tatura, where we were lucky enough to JUST, and I mean JUST get all the photos done before the storms hit!

Mick & Shonah were fabulous to work with, along with their entire bridal party, and knew we had to work quickly to get their photos done before we got totally drenched by the rain.

Mick & Shonah - Thank You for allowing Carsten and I to be a part of your day! Enjoy!!

Remember the saying: "When it rains, it poors"... Well thsi was certainly the case on Friday afternoon, when I met with Steve & Stacey to capture their beautiful wedding in Echuca.  And the rain did not ease the entrie day, apart from the last 5 mintues before their reception!!

Even though it rained, and poored, and rained some more, Steve & Stacey didn't let it bother them at all, and they continued to enjoy their wedding day with all their familiy and friends!

Steve & Stacey - Thank you for beeing such troopers! Enjoy!

As of about 10 days ago, beautiful, cheeky, adorable Zara is now a big sister to little baby Jasmine Lilly.  I have known this beautiful family for a few years now and have been lucky enough to capture their journey of becoming a family, right from the very start.  And now with the new addition of baby Jasmine, I once again spent time with them to capture Jasmine as a newborn.

Now Zara, who is 16months, thinks it's just fantastic to have a little sister, but is still coming to the understand that Jasmine is just a baby, and can't quite be up and running like she is!

So we tried... and I mean really tried... to capture a shot of the two of them together... You know, big sister, little sister... But it was a little more difficult than we ALL thought!! As you can see below, it didn't quite turn out how we thought, but I love the series of these two together, as it truly shows Zara's perspective on this new exciting journey!!

My Favourite Below:

Jasmine slept the ENTIRE session... AMAZING!

Over the past 6 months or so, I have been constantly reminded of how blessed I am to have such a great business... beautiful family and friends... an amazing husband... and generally to just be happy and healthy!

So a new, but now regular feature on the blog will be "Happiness is..." A little entry to tell you what little things can truly make us happy, and hopefully a reminder to you too, that sometimes the most simple things can make us happy and thankful!

Happiness is...

I have known Dave for quite a few years now, but have only just recently gotten to know his beautiful fiance Adaline, since they have been together.  And it has been such a joy to get to know both of them all over again as they begin to start their new journey in life when they marry at the end of March.

During the time I have spent getting to know the two of them, I have enjoyed seeing how two people can be SO right for each other, and how much love they truly have for God and for each other!  I really do feel so blessed to know them both, and so honoured that they have asked me to capture their wedding day later this month!!

Dave & Adaline - These images of the two of you speak for themselves.... There are few words that can describe the love, friendship and laughter that you share with each other, and I'm so glad I was able to capture the true beauty of 'love'.  Enjoy!! xo

For the last weekend in February, I had the pleasure of travelling to Echuca, for Matt & Elle's beautiful wedding!!  Thankfully, the storm clouds kept their distance for the duration of the ceremony  and Matt & Elle's photos, so that we could wander around the port without having to worry about the rain.

Their day was filled with so much joy and emotion, and it was such a privilege to be part of such a beautiful day.  Enjoy!!
